How to Create a Connected Content Eco-System

| 2-min read Stay updated

So you’re posting on LinkedIn, but nothing’s happening – yet.

If I were to guess why, I might say it’s because posting is not enough.

In fact, posting – a.k.a. high quality content marketing – is just one of the 3 tools in my proven marketing framework, The Simplest Marketing Plan (SMP)

If you want your marketing to work -- that is, to get you better clients with bigger budgets --you also have to be doing the 2 other tools in the SMP – strategic networking and targeted outreach.

Here's why: those 3 tools work together so that when your best prospects (whom you’ve met while networking and/or by reaching out to them) – when they are in their time of need, they will think of you and reach out to you.

Why? Because they will remember you -- they may even be able to fish your email newsletter out of their inbox quickly – because you've been top of mind.

That’s what I mean when I talk about marketing that works – not to mention “newsletter magic.”

That said, Episode 556 of the Marketing Mentor Podcast is focused on your high quality content.

It's an interview with Val Roskens Tews, who shares the content ecosystem that she has built for herself since she learned how to do the SMP

In part 1 of this conversation with Val, Episode 552, she talked about the book she wrote, The Butterfly Strategy, as part of her content strategy.

But there’s so much more to Val’s eco-system than a book.

In fact, the book is actually a by-product of her content eco-system. That’s why I had to bring Val back – to share how her eco-system works – so you can build one too.

By the way, we also talked about AI and ghostwriting and donuts.

So listen here (and below):
