Excuse me? You want your deposit back?

| 0-min read Stay updated

It had never happened to me before.

I didn't see it coming at all. There were no initial red flags, except that maybe the project was too good to be true.

A seemingly dreamy client turned into a client who wanted their deposit back mid-project—and wasn’t very nice about it despite all my attempts to make it right.

I was upset and unsure what to do, so I referred to Ilise's advice on what to say (and do) when a client wants their deposit back.

Ultimately when the going got tough, I was grateful to have a contract that protects me.

My decision wasn’t easy…but this is what went down, and how I handled it:
Would you refund the deposit if the client wasn’t happy?
