Itâs hot and steamy here in Savannah - just how I like it.
But as people leave for the beach or campsite this summer, it can be harder to get traction from your outreach.Â
Networking events might be a little sparse, too.
Donât fret - your prospects will come back. And you want your name to be on their mind when they do.
How do you do that?
By keeping your content machine going.Â
Now, if youâre distracted by summer, too, why not make some lighter âsummertimeâ content? No need to rack your brain!
I like to say Iâm âlistening for contentâ because anything happening in your life or business can lead to a LinkedIn post or newsletter issue.
And, while you should mostly share things that speak to your prospectsâ pain pointsâŠ
Quick life updates and personal details make great âlightâ content, too. Sometimes itâs good to mix it up.
For example, since I just turned 65, Iâm using my birthday as content and sharing 13 âpithyâ life lessons. (And you can do the same, at any age!)
SoâŠ
Here are my 13 âpithyâ life lessons on turning 65:
- The most important thing is to take care of yourself.
- Listen to your body.
- Stop rushing.
- Trust yourself.
- Drop anyone who doesnât bring out the best in you.
- Invest in yourself.
- Invest in the stock market - a little bit every month, no matter what.
- Waste as little as possible, especially time, but also attention, effort and money.
- Remember that tomorrow is a new day.
- Always have a back up plan.
- Always do your best â and when you make a mistake, donât hesitate to apologize.
- Always bring champagne! đ„

What did I miss? Share your own life lessons here!
Too busy for regular content right now? Do half of what you're currently doing. So if you're doing weekly posts, like most of our SMP+ members, every other week could be enough.

Thatâs all for today. Thanks for reading.
