Heck no! WordPress has so much flexibility. An ecommerce solution can be bundled right in. I have been creating ecommerce sites with WordPress for years—and my favorite plug in to add ecommerce capabilities is WooCommerce, which is super-flexible and works like a charm.
I’m not knocking other ecommerce platforms. I know that some work really well.
But I also know this:
If a big part of your business is related to content marketing, I believe that WordPress will excel over the other platforms.
