Reinventing yourself mid-career is not easy!

You’re too old to start over but too young to retire.

You are trying to figure out what’s next for you.

You’ve been around the block. You want to do something new, maybe an offshoot of what you’ve been doing – maybe something completely new!

It’s not about passion anymore. It’s about finding something meaningful.

But how do you take what you’ve done -- your expertise and experience -- and build something new, something that will be satisfying?

How do you leverage what (and who) you know to evolve your professional self without being held back by insecurities and old habits?

That’s what you’re in the midst of trying to figure out.

But you’ve realized you can’t do this alone.

You’ve been trying to focus and move forward but due to unexpected gaps in your confidence, you’re not making enough progress.

You’re struggling with:

  • Identity issues: You’ve been doing the same thing for a while -- it’s part of your identity. If you don’t do this anymore, who will you be? So the question evolves from "What do you want to do?" to "Who do you want to become?"
  • Psychological issues: What happened to the confidence you used to have? You’re uncomfortable not having all the answers or at least knowing how to find them quickly.

You need to engage with people in the same boat, of your generation or at the same stage in their lives, who are struggling with the same challenges. How have they approached this momentous shift in their lives? How are they experiencing it? And what insight can they share?

You need a peer group of trusted advisors, a safe place where you can be yourself, even if that self is insecure and uncomfortable at the moment. You want to hear other people’s stories, learn from their experience and get objective feedback while you journey through the process of figuring out your next incarnation.

That’s what Ilise Benun’s new “Experienced Newbies Accountability Group” will aim to provide for you.

Each group will be small and comprised of fellow creative professionals who are also reinventing themselves mid-career -- people with real experience and perspective that you can bounce ideas off and learn from.

Only those who meet the criteria for quality will be admitted into the group and each group process will be tailored to the specific members of the group.

If this sounds like something you need, I hope you’ll take a moment to fill out the application here.
