The attack of the neon starbursts

Hi, I'm Deidre. In my posts, I talk about my voyage down the road of self-employment as a website copywriter, my achievements and roadblocks along the way, and what I’m learning as I go (with Marketing Mentor as my guide).

After traveling a lot this summer (and working from various places) I am now back in my home office. And guess what is glaring at me? My starburst marketing plan on the wall.

It’s saying: Hey Deidre, remember us? We hope you had fun gallivanting this summer, but we’re still here!

I’ll be very embarrassed if January arrives, and I have to tell you that I DIDN’T meet my goals—particularly the monetary one. (It’s all about the Benjamins.)

I checked the past 8 months, and I’ve been, on average, a bit under my goal each month. It’s just a little, and I know I can make it up. But I really want to not only meet this goal—but blow it out of the water.

This means I’ve got to turn up the motor on my marketing machine. More specifically, it means introducing myself to more prospects each week (I’ve been slacking on my goal of 2+ prospects per week—averaging only one per week).

It’s game on.
