Networking is everything!
I know you don’t need more proof of that, but here is some anyway!
This morning I gave an impromptu talk at the local Savannah chapter of One Million Cups, which is affiliated with The Creative Coast, and which I learned about thanks to Erik Reagan of Focus Lab and Sidecar), whom I met last year at The Revolve Conference (where I’ll be speaking again this October), thanks to Karl Hudson-Phillips.
I gave my newest presentation, Get Your LinkedIn Profile in Shape, then opened it up for discussion — and there was a lot of discussion, especially on the latest changes LinkedIn has made.
That’s how I met Peter Brougham-Cook, a high-volume LinkedIn user, who shared his very interesting perspective on the recent changes to LinkedIn, especially the elimination of the Advanced Search function, making it very difficult to use it anymore for research, one of LinkedIn best functions.
Have you noticed this? Has it impacted your business or the marketing of your business. If so, comment on Peter’s LinkedIn post on the subject — maybe our voices will be heard and they will improve it.
Speaking up is very important, especially these days!
