How much work should you showcase?

Clients often ask, “How much of my work should I add to my portfolio or website?” The answer is usually, “Less than you think.” 

I tell clients they should only showcase the work they want more of. 

I heard Brian Miller answer this question recently at A Day in the Life where he spoke on The Creative Business – Behind the Scenes. I love the image he showed to represent the work he showcases vs. the work his firm uses “to keep the lights on.”
