Sabrina Lola Top was born April 15, 1995,
in the San Fernando Valley are of Los Angeles. She was one puppy of a
large litter born to her father Ness and her mother, Frontier Jasmin
Princess of Agrabah. The daughter of a Princess, and registered
with the American Kennel Club as a pure bred Dalmatian, Sabrina has
rightfully considered herself to be of a somewhat higher class than
other dogs, and most humans. She enjoys a cultured life and
although her needs are few she expects attention, deference, and
instant gratification when needs arise.
After a few weeks living with her mother and siblings, Sabrina was
raised by Ness as a single father, at the home of Peleg Top, who
adopted Sabrina into his own family. Sabrina cut her teeth on
Peleg’s furniture, and shoes, and record albums, and she learned
the business of being a dog from her father. Sabrina’s
royal roots revealed themselves by a reluctance to mingle with the
common people. She let her father Ness handle the social
requirements of being a household dog, while Sabrina kept her own
company and shed her favors on only a few.
But Sabrina’s days were not idle. She took seriously her
duty to rid the backyard of cats and squirrels. And she kept the
neighborhood under close inspection with long daily walks. In
this house, and in her next house in Burbank, Sabrina fed herself on
backyard tomatoes and fruit, lay in the California sun, and accepted
the doting attention of Peleg.
In 2005, Sabrina and Ness moved again to the Silver Lake section of Los
Angeles and Sabrina quickly claimed a throne with a commanding view of
the lake and downtown Los Angeles. In 2007, her father died
leaving Sabrina alone. Fortunately, within a month Peleg moved
his business into a home office and hired Sabrina to spend each work
day lounging on a stack of red pillows. Sabrina fulfills her
responsibility as diva-in-residence expertly, as only a dog of breeding
can do.
