2
best ways to find clients on LinkedIn
- QTMM 9-28-11
If
you're on LinkedIn but not actually using it, this tip is for you!
There
are so many different ways to use LinkedIn -- tools, features, widgets -- it's
hard to know which are most effective (i.e. worth your time).
Here
are my two favorites:
- Add
people to your network. You can add people you know to your network --
and people you don't know as well. Just send a simple and clear message about
why you want to connect. This is a great way to give a "heads-up" to a phone
call or email message the next day. Make one new connection per day with someone
who can hire you, refer you or help your business. (Read this post from the Marketing Mix
Blog about how to combine those two tools.)
- Contribute to
Groups. Find groups where your best prospects hang out, join them and
determine which are most active. (Lots of them aren't.) The best way to find the
best groups is to locate your ideal prospect, then check out the groups they
belong to. Then contribute to, and
initiate discussions, within those groups.
Using LinkedIn to reach to your best prospects is one of the tools I teach
in the Beginning Marketing Group. Next one starts mid-October. Click here for
more details and/or reply to this message if you want to know more.
