Think you can't write a newsletter?
I bet you can.
In my last tip, I asked (and answered) the question that I hear all the time -- where does "content" come from? -- with a 3-step process to create your marketing "content." (It was also published inPhotoShelter's new ebook, Freelancer's Online Marketing Blueprint. Download it here.)
But
I still hear from creatives -- designers especially -- who don't think
they can write well enough to so a newsletter. To me, that's not a good
enough excuse -- you can always send out an "un-newsletter" -- your
best possible way of staying top of mind to your best prospects.
You have a couple options:
- Work with a copywriter. You can hire one, of course, or partner with one on a newsletter that you both send out to your lists.
- Become an aggregator.
Pull together material from other sources into a "digest" for your
market. Or, if you're a Twitterer, pull your best tweets each month
into a Twitter Digest and send it out via email.
