Welcome to Week 37 of my adventure as a member of the Marketing Plan Group. In my posts, I talk about my voyage down the road of self-employment as a website copywriter, my achievements and roadblocks along the way, and what I’m learning from my group experience.
Wow. CFC was other-worldly. It’s hard to put the experience into words – but since I’m blogging, I’ll try my best. The environment was one of mutual understanding, inspiration, appreciation, friendship, and drive. It was even better than I expected – and there are a few things that really stand out.
One thing I didn’t fully realize was just how incredible the sessions would be. The speakers were full of fire and know-how and inspiration, and I could see them resonating with every creative there. They made me think of things in a new way that I never would have expected, and there were quite a few “a-ha” moments. I feel equipped with the tools I need to grow, as well as tools to make things easier and more productive.
Another mindblower was just how much of a “community” it really was. What an AMAZING group of people. Full of smarts, full of personality, and full of fun! From newbies who were just launching their businesses, to experienced creatives, people were willing to help and support each other and share knowledge and advice. Everyone was there to learn and network, so making connections was so easy. I met some incredible people and feel like I now have a network I can reach out to.
If I had any doubts about who I wanted to be, I certainly know now. I want to be a “creative freelancer.” As a matter of fact, I am honored to call myself a “creative freelancer” and to have had this opportunity to meet such great people and learn so much.
Thank you to everyone who attended for making my experience so wonderful!
Were you there? What was the experience like for you?
