How many times have you watched an expert  on TV and thought, “Why her? Why not me?” They’re not better or smarter than you; they simply know what the media wants, and how to give it to them.

Gaining media attention, in the form of coveted TV segments, podcast interviews, features and mentions in major magazines, is one of the most exciting opportunities an expert, author, or entrepreneur can have.

It’s not only a thrill to get that kind of attention, but it can have a ripple effect in your business. When you have that kind of cache, people look at you differently. It’s true.

If taking your brand up a notch and establishing a presence in the media is appealing and exciting to you (um, yeah!), then you’re going to want in on this. I can’t think of two people more equipped to show you the ropes than Terri Trespicio and Paula Rizzo. Which is why I’ve partnered up with them to share what they’ve created.

You may recognize Terri — I’ve interviewed her for my podcast and she’s interviewed me for her web show, “Solopreneur.” She’s a fireball and she knows her stuff when it comes to media. And although I’ve never met Paula, I just found out she’s the one who told Terri about me! Clearly, she’s a connector! 

Plus, their resumes speak for themselves: Terri has been on the Today Show, the Early Show, Dr. Oz and many others, and her TEDx talk has earned more than a million views. She was a magazine editor at Martha Stewart for nearly a decade, and has since built her own brand consulting business and speaks all over the country. 

Paula is a seasoned TV news producer, creator of ListProducer.com and author of the book Listful Thinking: Using Lists to Be More Productive, Highly Successful and Less Stressed. She’s also been featured in media, on TV and in magazines too.  Together they’ve created a FREE 3-part video series, “How to Be a Media Magnet,” designed to give authors, experts, and entrepreneurs the tools, insight, and mindset they need to snag major media attention.
