Welcome to Week 40 of my adventure as a member of the Marketing Plan Group. In my posts, I talk about my voyage down the road of self-employment as a website copywriter, my achievements and roadblocks along the way, and what I’m learning from my group experience.
Procrastinating. I’ve been doing it all my life.
Realizing this is not the healthiest approach, I’ve adapted in the past few years, trying to get a head start on projects. But really, it’s the deadline that forces me to put on the finishing touches and get it out the door.
What happens when you’re working with a very easygoing client who says, “Take your time on this; there’s no rush at all.”? I find it much harder to adhere to my own self-imposed deadline than to have one in place from an actual client.
What is it about a deadline that makes us so much more efficient?
And how can we handle situations where deadlines are all loosey goosey?
