The new year is upon us so it’s time to reflect on what worked, and especially on what didn’t work, so we can improve it.
Back by popular demand for this year-end podcast, I am joined by time-lapse filmmaker, Michael e. Stern, of BuildaBetterPhotograph.com to share mistakes made and lessons learned, not just in 2015 but over our 60+ combined years as creatively self employed (a.k.a. unemployable) professionals.
Here are a few of the mistakes we fess up to:
- Believing what a prospect said (we love you!) instead of what they did (not return your calls).
- Making an exception to your carefully thought-out process that works, when you really shouldn’t have.
- Partnering with someone for all the wrong reasons.
- and more…
And I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who’s listened and commented and submitted glowing reviews for this almost 10 year old podcast. Who knew when I started in 2006 that podcasting would take off like it has!
If you need something to listen to this long weekend, I have recorded over 250 episodes. That will keep you busy — and learning!
Here’s to an even better 2016!
