Hi, I'm Deidre. In my posts, I talk about my voyage down the road of self-employment as a copywriting partner to designers, my achievements and roadblocks along the way, and what I’m learning as I go (with Marketing Mentor as my guide).
Ahhhhhh. What a big sigh of relief and joy I let out this morning. Back to my business. My business. The one I love. The one I chose. It’s a glorious feeling. My spirit is renewed, my passion refreshed, and my gratitude off the charts. (If I weren’t so darn happy, I’d be annoying myself with how darn happy I am!)
I knew I loved my business. But I didn’t realize quite how much—until I went back to corporate land. It’s different there. Fact: I am willing to work 10 times as hard to stay in my business.
A fresh perspective: I realize that everything in my business is my choice. If I want to be more successful, be less isolated, or make more money—I can! I can work harder, network more, market more. It’s my choice.
My hubby laughed when I told him:
“I might need do this every few years to remind myself.”
And if those doubts creep in … Am I a sham? Should I get a real job? … I’m going to look back at this post.
Are you taking a moment to revel in your freedom?
